**I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes** So a couple of weeks ago I posted an entry about the Influenster #SurfsUpVoxBox. At the time I hadn’t received my box yet, but I did promise that I would review everything once I received my magical box of goodies. There were some pretty great products for me to try and just in time for our family’s first beach outing post baby (post baby beach outing will be an entirely different post…) @InfluensterVox I will start off with my Sinful Colors nail polish review. I received the color Song of Summer. I am not a huge fan of the color green on my nails because I have an olive complexion but the actual nail polish applied nice and evenly so I will say that I am going to purchase this brand of nail polish again. @SinfulColors_np #SinfulColors Next up is the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration After Sun Lotion in Coconut Papaya. You had me at coconut. I LOVE COCONUT. Anyway, I got a super sun burn this weekend because I was so focused on making sure my son was covered from head to toe in sunscreen and then my husband was covered (or should I say minimally his super expensive “I’m Gonna Be a Dad and must do my final tattoo masterpiece before every penny I spend is on my son” tattoo.) We use Coppertone Tattoo Guard for the Hub’s ink.
I completely forgot about myself…Mom woes. By the time I got around to having my husband apply sunscreen to my unreachable areas I had an Ergobaby shaped sunburn on my back! Anyway, I remembered that I packed our beach suitcase with all of my goodies and pulled out the Silk Hydration to give it a whirl. I LOVED it. First, it smells like coconut and second it goes on so smooth. It really made me not feel like Magda from Something About Mary. Anyway, this is definitely going to be a staple in my beach bag. #EscapewithHT
Next up was the Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. I really liked the “set it and forget it” mind set at the beach so I decided to try this product before we went out for a date night dinner in Atlantic City. I shampooed and conditioned my hair and then let it air dry. I was so excited about getting out for a date night with the Hubs that I totally forgot to get a photo but I will post one as soon as I have time for another shower…baby willing. I loved the feel of my hair after using this product and I am definitely going to purchase the texturizing lotion and the salt spray. I think that will really finish the “Beach Wave” hair style look. I also am in dire need of a new hair cut but that’s a whole other story. @NYMBrands #NYMBeachBabe
The fourth product was First Aid Shot Therapy Pain relief. I have to say that I just wasn’t a fan of the flavor. Maybe if it had a little bit of citrus flavor to it instead of the super sugary unknown “berry” flavor that I got to try I might have liked it. I’m going to stick with my trusty old Ibuprofen and water for my few and far between hang overs. @FirstAidShot #Fastrelief Second to last was the Cover Girl Bombshell Mascara. It promised extreme volume and big, sexy, bombshell lashes and it delivered. For my everyday mascara once I return to work I really don’t want a mascara that is applied in two steps but for a nice night out I’m willing to go the extra mile. My lashes were voluminous and bold so it didn’t disappoint. @CoverGirl #bombshelling
Finally, the Jamba Juice At Home Smoothie kit. I tried the Mango-a-go-go, Green Fusion and Caribbean Passion flavors…DELICIOUS! All you need to do is add juice. Having a 7 month old that is learning to crawl I need easy in my life right now and this was easy! I highly recommend this product and I am definitely going to be purchasing the other flavors to try them out too. @JJ_HomeSmoothie #JambaJuice
