I’m back! I must say, it has been a LONG hiatus away from this blog. Life got the best of me last year. Working full time, being a mom to a very energetic 3 year old boy, selling our first home, relocating to Bucks County and everything in between took precedence. That’s ok, that’s what life is all about.
We are absolutely in love with our new home and our new area. The house was built in 1904, has great bones and a lot of original details that you just don’t find in a newer built home. The previous owners definitely put a lot of time and effort into rehabbing this home and updating it to this century. The “this century” part is what we are currently working on. It’s more circa 1996 when it comes to decor, so some minor updates will take place in the next few years before we get it up to 2017 standards.
Once we moved in we focused on the non-aesthetic, big ticket items no one cares about until they have a big problem, i.e.: new septic system, water filtration system (private well water) and a new drive way is on the books to begin next week. Luckily we were able to negotiate for the previous owners to pay for the septic system! After the driveway is complete we can pick a room to really do some updating. Stay tuned for some before and after projects and posts about Bucks County life.
In the meantime, please enjoy some of the wonderful Bucks County views I have photographed in the past 6 months!
